Norway condemns arrests in Iran

Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere called in the charges d’affaires of the Iranian Embassy to express concern about the human rights situation in Iran, referring particularly to politcally motived arrests and the detention of local staff of the British Embassy. The situation of the Baha’is was cited by Norway, and Mr Stoere said, ““I call on the Iranian authorities to respect the freedom of religion and belief of all minorities in Iran.”
