Persecution of religious minorities in Iran

In a side-event about the persecution of religious and ethnic minorities in Iran, the Baha'i International Community made a presentation about the situation of the Baha'is in Iran. Representatives from other religious and ethnic minorities included Sunnis, Christians, Gonabadi Dervishes, Yarasans, Kurds, and Turks. Simin Fahandej, from the Baha'i International Community, spoke about the situation of the Yaran, the former leaders of the Baha'is in Iran, and emphasized that their unjust imprisonment is an example of the persecution of the entire Baha'i community in Iran.
